The project brief was to design and produce a “well resolved” pen mechanism that can fit onto a Core XY machine. These two components, along with an arduino, a BRBL motor control board and a raspberry pi, will make up a drawing machine.
The pen mechanism needed to be designed so that with the press of a switch, the mechanism will lower the pen onto the paper and back up when released.
